Domus Villa Katsarata is situated on a private estate on a slope of an ancient hill with bird's eye views to the Ionian Sea and surrounded islands. The villa is a colourful lost speck into the local lushly bushes, olive and cypress trees.

The modern spacious architectural design by the architect owners and the choice of artistic and cozy furniture provide a slice of paradise for guests.

Ecological and high quality materials were used upon construction which cover both the aesthetic and practical needs of our guests at this peaceful retreat.

The Villa is on two levels. The upper top level is
a. The Attic House which is 79 square metres and sleeps 2 (a couple) and the lower independent part of the Villa
b. The pool house, (with the private use of the pool) which is 142 square metres and sleeps 4 (two couples).

The main entrances of both houses lead to spacious stylishly furnished open plan living rooms with Italian imported kitchens and German tables as well as spacious cozy sofas and flat TVs with Netflix connection. On top of these there are well informed libraries with books of the family covering a wide range of interests. Modern art and paintings and real nautical instruments in combination with two old Venetian hand carved wooden mirrors and iron made objects of daily use of the older ancestors of the family punctuate the spaces. Very spacious bedrooms-queen sized double bed at the 1 bedroom apartment and double beds at the 2 bedroom apartment-with modern and elegant en suit Italian bathrooms in each of them.

Alternative spaces of relaxation including two patios with screens to protect guests from wasps and mosquitos while they have their lunches, relax with a drink, read a book, work, socialise or take a nap.

We work hard to make your stay a perfect and unforgettable one so you can relax and enjoy from the moment you walk into the door!

It is a highly sought after residential area, far from the madding crowd, with spectacular sunrises and beautiful moonlit starry nights... One can listen to the birds song and tinkle of the sheep bells. On top of this there are endless views of the comings and goings of the ships to Italy , the endless sailing boats, and the magnificent high tech yachts of the tycoons who visit the northern part of the island and the famous Venetian port of Fiscardo.

It provides peaceful and qualitative holidays as it is away from the busy centres but within walking distance at the same time to super markets, tavernas and restaurants as well as bistros that offer food and wine throughout the day until the early morning hours.

Nevertheless a car is highly recommended if someone wishes to have a full experience of the numerous beaches and traditional villages of the area or discover the other areas of this beautiful Ionian island.

Fiscardo Port is situated in the upper northern part of Kefalonia. It has been a Venetian port because it was conquered by the normand Wiscard Vellarduin. It is a very protected port with yachts and celebrities coming from all over the globe. Great bussiness transactions are accomplised at this little port as international jet set people meet there. Nevertheless there are places for less well-known people as well. And this marks the beauty of the area.
THE
HOST

Architecture and design, alpinism, sea sports, traveling off the main track, reading and socialising are the main interests of the host.

The owner of the villa will be available either to welcome you upon arrival (if you wish so) or give you any information on nearby food facilities, sport or social activities as well as places of architectural interest or art and music events that take place in the whole island. She will be more than willing (upon request) to inform you on equivalent places to experience and make your stay a unique one.

Hiking through shady paths of immense beauty and heading to small coves where you may find yourselves swimming alone in emerald crystal clear waters might easily be a daily habit. The possibility of renting a boat and explore beaches snorkelling and diving spots will add to a really adventurous holiday. Renting a bike, a kayak or canoe can bring you to unspoilt spots of this pristine piece of land .
The owner can also suggest visits to the old traditional villages scattered upon the hills and offering local food and their own gastronomic potentials.

The Venetian port of Fiscardo with its cosmopolitan life style and waterfront well known restaurants and bars might be a top interest to many visitors for exceptional nights out.

But you can forget of all of the above and just stay home relaxing and sunbathing or cooling by the pool (the pool house visitors only), cooking your own meals, enjoy the endless views and have your drinks at the screened patios while working. No one will bother you! The owner will be invisible!.

Either with my short time presence (if help is required), or with my absence, I will try to make your stay well remembered for a long time.
